How We Got Here — and Why We Went Independent

Sara Pyle-Pearce founded Your Choice Insurance in 2006 with one straightforward goal: help people in central Indiana get the right coverage without the runaround. For years, she worked within the captive agency model, which meant access to one carrier and one set of options — whether or not those options were the best fit for each client.


In January 2022, Sara made a deliberate decision to go independent. That shift wasn't about growth strategy or margins. It was about being able to shop across approximately 40 A-rated carriers to find each client the most competitive, appropriate coverage available. National-brand coverage options, delivered by people who know your situation.


That's what independent means here — and it's why we made the move.
